About America's first serial killer, H.H. Holmes whose Murder Castle, a hotel he designed and built for the purpose of killing, located just outside the Chicago's 1893 World's fair. He is rumored to have killer over 100 people inside his chamber of horrors by means of suffocation (gas), poison, killing machines, and acid tub in basement,

Castle Killer is told in three parts by the point of view of three people in Holmes' life: a man he shared a cell with in the Missouri State Penitentiary after a failed robbery attempt; a contractor he hired to build his strange designs in his murder castle including stairways that lead to nowhere; and his third wife who's children Holmes kidnapped and brought across the country by rail.
